Daily dinosaur #10: Baryosaurus
The Baryosaurus, name meaning “Heavy lizard” is a hybrid between m the Sarcosaurus and the hybrid Baryothus (Leucistic Baryonyx + Dreadnoughtus) and was created to try and fix the vision issues with its parent hybrid.
While Baryosaurus still does not have sight all of its other senses have been sharpened and now has even more powerful echolocation abilities than Baryothus, both combined give it a sort of 260 degree radius of “vision” of the area around it.
This hybrid lives in the swamps around where it was released for research purposes and feeds on carrion, giving it nasty bacteria in its jaws in which it uses to infect small dinosaurs much like modern day Komodo dragons.
